Of proposal.

A few months after we dated, Heartbeat popped up 'THE QUESTION'. At first, he casually asked me, "Wanna marry me?", I answered, "Are you serious?", "Ya, of course. You want to? ", then I answered, "Of course I want to!", then he smiled. But in my heart, I seriously thought he was joking, even if it was serious, maybe it will happen in 3-4 years time. As quoted from him, "Maybe I'll get married when I'm 30" when I asked when he planned to settle down.

Then, he had this habit of writing "Marry me?" all over my books. Then I asked him, "Are you proposing?", then he would answer, "I am, will you?", as usual I laughed.

I knew that he was serious when he asked the possible date for the engagement. We suggested a few dates. It was supposed to be end of next year somewhere in December, then it changed to July next year, then it changed to January next year, then the final say? End of this month. *gasps* The reason? Why wait? ^__^

I am going to be someone's fiancee end of this month! Woooohoooo!!! How super cool is that! ^________^

You know that girls always have this dream where the man comes kneeling before the girl, then the girl puts both of her hands covering her mouth with tears and all, then suddenly the man takes out a small box, he opens it then there it is, the ring of the rings, shining brighter than the sun, when suddenly the man says, "Darling, will you marry me?" Then, the girl is speechless for a minute, then again tears in her eyes, kneels together with the man and suddenly nods her head with shaky voice saying, "Yes! Yes! Yes!", then they kiss, a very long and passionate and wet kiss, then they exchange "I love you"s.

DANG! That didn't happen.T______T

One night inside his car...

Summer: Aren't you going to propose to me?
Heartbeat: I did.
Summer: When? You mean when you wrote down 'marry me?' in my books and asked me to marry you the other day?
Heartbeat: Yes.
Summer: No, that's not proposing!
Heartbeat: What is?
Summer: You know that you should buy a ring first, put it inside a small box, kneel in front of me and pop that question, that is proposing. Like the one in TV.
Heartbeat: Eh? *silent* You want to marry me or not?!
Summer: I WANT!
Heartbeat: Then, LET'S GET MARRIED LA!
Summer: ............................ *laughs hysterically*

Thinking about it, why do we have to make a big fuss about the proposal and all? Gosh, I love my boyfriend. *__^

So 2 months before the engagement, he went to Kapit to 'meminang', ALONE! *gasps* Normally, a man would bring like a whole troop or the whole village to meet the family, but being a gentleman he really is, he came alone asking for my hand for marriage from both of my parents. The sweetest thing. ^__^

It was the most nerve wrecking moment ever, but it went well. Praise God. ^__^ Today, I finally decided to share the moment with you as the journey is about to start soon, very soon, and I would want YOU to be a part of it. Come? ^__^
